Zeynep Gürgey

Born in Ankara in 1993, Zeynep Gürgey began her music education at Bilkent University at the age of 5. She graduated second from Bilkent University Music Preparatory Primary School and first from the Music and Performing Arts High School. She continued her piano education with Gülnara Aziz, Aylin Özuğur, Gamze Kırtıl, and Emre Şen.

Having participated in various master classes between 2006 and 2014, Gürgey won the jury's special prize at the 2010 Chopin Piano Competition, the "Promising Prize" at the 2011 Rachmaninoff Piano Competition, and studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In 2012, she performed Saint-Saens' Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra.

In 2015, she completed her undergraduate studies at Bilkent University with Prof. Ersin Onay as an "Honor Student". In 2019, she completed her master's degree at Hacettepe University with Prof. Hande Dalkılıç and is currently pursuing a Proficiency in Arts degree. Gürgey works as a Research Assistant and Assistant Erasmus Coordinator.
